2014 POLAR BEAR Themed Neanderthal Days

December 10, 2013 By sdmiller

Polar Bear Camp OutHEY TROOP 250! GET OUT YOUR LONG-JOHNS!!

The 2014 Polar Bear camporee is right around the corner, January 17th – 19th at Camp Conley Clark in Rock Hill. This year’s theme is Neanderthal Days which is right up my alley as I recently began walking upright a short time ago.

But I digress……This is a Council wide campout with a boat-load of cool activities and provides the opportunity to fellowship with other troops from our area. It’s also chocked full of friendly competitions.

Attached is a flyer outlining all the details.

I would direct your attention to the Caveman Cook-off and Caveman attire costume competition.

There’s also a Klondike Race for which we’ll have to begin plotting our design to build and dominate our Palmetto Council chums

Don’t overlook the Sasquatch Hunt. And there’s much more……

FYI – The Polar Bear is also a Grub Master opportunity. If there is an overabundance of chefs, we’ll do a random selection, so if you’re interested, just let me know.
The cost per Cave-scout will be $10 for a weekend of tasty vittles.

It has been estimated that Troop 250 Adults eat about 33% more, so the cost for adult Neanderthals will be $15.

Listen people, Mastodon meat and Pterodactyl wings are not cheap! So this is a real value of prehistoric proportion.

Please email me with any questions.
