Hello Troop 250,

The 2021 National Scout Jamboree will be held July 21 – 30, 2021 at the Summit in West Virginia. The theme is “Face the Challenge.”

This National BSA event is great to enjoy high adventure activities, patch trade with 30,000+ Scouts, and even work on merit badges that may not be offered locally. We will also be hosting international contingents, this will be a great occasion to meet Scouts from other countries! Here is an overview of what you can expect: https://jamboree.scouting.org/

Typically our Council sends 1 or 2 contingent Troops, Scouts interested in joining us for this fun and unique adventure must register as soon as possible! (Spots on the contingent are filling up quickly even though this event is in 2021.)

Youth participant requirements are: Scouts MUST have a current BSA membership & MUST be at least 12 years of age by the first day of the Jamboree but not reach 18 by the last day of the Jamboree.

The budget for the Jamboree is still being worked on, the Council expects the final cost to be about $1600 for participants (it can be paid in installments.) Financial assistance is offered by the Council when needed and upon request to cover part of the fee.
