Scouting for Food – 3 Different Service Hours Opportunities In November

We are trying to ensure that each of the three days have adequate coverage, so please make sure that you RSVP to the person listed.

1st Opportunity
When: This Thursday, November 2nd between 7:00 pm till completion at Grace Church
What: Staple flyers to bags and count out 50 to a bundle
Who: Scouts needed
Additional details: Wear Class B t-shirt and bring a stapler/staples

2nd Opportunity
When: This Saturday, November 4th between 9:00 am till completion/Meet at Grace Church
What: Drop off bags on mailboxes on assigned routes
Who: Scouts and Parents needed to drive
​(Need approximately 2 scouts per vehicle/route. There are 12 different routes and we need 12 parents to drive and 12-24 scouts.)
Additional details: Wear Class A uniform

3rd Opportunity
When: November 11th between 9:00 am till completion/Meet at Grace Church
What: Pick up bags filled with food on assigned routes. When scouts arrive back at church, they will assist with weighing the food and sorting it into expired and unexpired prior to loading into truck.
Who: Scouts and Parents needed to drive
​(Need approximately 2 scouts per vehicle/route. There are 12 different routes and we need 12 parents to drive and 12-24 scouts.)
Additional details: Wear Class A uniform

There will be a sign-in sheet at each event and scouts will receive service hours for their efforts. If you have completed your services hours for your next rank and wish to earn service hours toward your Citizenship in the Community merit badge, please email Mrs. Okalito at: okolitafamily@aol.com , if you need to get a blue card to open this merit badge.

Please consider assisting at least one of these events.
