Troop 250 Outdoor Activities

August 16, 2012 By Camden

Hello Troop 250!!!!

Your Troop’s Youth Leadership has put together some great plans for the upcoming scout season and Mr. Mercer has been busy placing all events into the calendar (Thank you Mr. Mercer!). This calendar has already been distributed but here is another copy just in case you lost yours.

The Outdoor Activity Coordination team is already busy getting things coordinated so that these events can actually take place, but WE NEED YOUR HELP! You can help us greatly by responding quickly to sign-up requests which helps us make sure we have enough camp sites, transportation, gear, etc.

Activities get kicked off in a major way in September starting with Beach Sweep on September 7th. Below is a brief summary of events coming up next month. Please keep watch for detail information to come out soon. Sign-ups will be accepted by e-mail anytime for any event.

September 7th – 9th

Beach Sweep @ Lakewood Campground, Myrtle Beach

September 14th – 16th

TFC (Target – First Class) Campout @ the Greenway

September 21st – 23rd

Virginia Creeper Mountain Bike Trip and Campout

This is an awesome mountain bike trail which replaced an old railroad route which runs through some great mountain scenery. You do not want to miss this event!

*** We would like to know the interest in this event ASAP as transporting or renting bikes will take some coordination and shuttle reservations are going fast ***

***Please respond via email if you are interested in attending and if you have your own bike or will need to rent one. Rentals are available for about $25.
