Hello Troop 250,
It is now time to take signups for the annual Troop Ski Trip to the Winterplace Ski Resort scheduled for February 1st – 2nd. Please see the attached flyer. I have also attached a rental form which shows variations to the ski package. This is a FAMILY event and anyone can attend. Family, friends, registered scouts and leaders, aunts, uncles, ANYONE! You will receive the following:
- A FULL DAY LIFT TICKET (8:00AM – 10:00PM)
- SKI RENTAL EQUIPMENT (SNOWBOARDS $39 EXTRA) (i.e. $93 total)
- A 90 MINUTE LESSON CUSTOMIZED TO YOUR SKIING LEVEL
- A MEAL VOUCHER VALUED AT OVER $8.00
Accommodations:
I will be working on reservations at a nearby hotel in Princeton, WV. If you would like to make your own reservation, please feel free. Anyone that wants me to include them in a group reservation please let me know as soon as possible. I’ll get room rates and hotel information out soon.
Although this is a family event, individual scouts wishing to attend may sign up. I will attempt to match you with a family that has extra room. I recommend this only for scouts with previous ski experience. Each hotel room must have at least one adult present with a son or daughter. Each room will have 2 double beds.
Families can head up Saturday afternoon (after Merit Badge University), stay overnight at the hotel, wake up and have breakfast, check out, then head to Winterplace (about 25 minutes drive). Check in time is 8 AM in the Winterplace lodge. Please get your reservation in as soon as possible. It is especially important for the hotel as they will book up fast and we might need to reserve additional rooms. Don’t delay, open spots will be on a first come basis. Payments will be collected in advance. I will send in our registration 1 week before the event after which there will be no refunds for cancellations.
