On December 10, 2015 at the York District Annual Recognition Banquet, Luther Dasher was awarded the Palmetto Award which is also known as the District Award of Merit. This award is available to registered Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature at the district level. Over the years, Luther has mentored, counseled and coached 89 of the 96 Troop 250 Eagle Scouts. Please extend your appreciation and congratulations to Luther for his unselfish service to so many of us in Troop 250.

On December 10, 2015 at the York District Annual Recognition Banquet, Robert Mercer was awarded the York District Committee Member of the Year Award. Since leaving Troop 250 as Scout Master, Robert has serviced as District Training Chair and now serves as the District Advancement Chair with a focus on Eagle Scout advancements in the York District. Robert has plenty of practice from mentoring over 40 Eagle Scout candidates while with Troop 250. We are proud of Robert’s recognition of exceptional service to the York District and that he is one of Troop 250’s own.
