Troop 250 Kayaking Adventure
August 14–16, 2026
Grab a paddle and join Troop 250 for an awesome weekend on the Lynches Scenic River! We’ll spend the weekend camping and exploring one of South Carolina’s most beautiful waterways as we paddle beneath towering bald cypress trees, drift past sandy beaches, and keep an eye out for turtles, herons, and other wildlife. Saturday’s adventure is a 5-mile kayak trip that takes approximately 3 hours—long enough to enjoy the river without being overly challenging. Whether this is your first time in a kayak or you’re an experienced paddler, this trip is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and make memories with your fellow Scouts.
The troop will cover the cost of camping and a portion of the kayaking fees. Each participant will need to pay $20, which helps cover the cost of the kayak rental, paddle, life jacket (PFD), and shuttle. Don’t miss one of the most fun weekends of the year—sign up and come paddle with Troop 250!
